PEC Re-Accreditation Visit — BS Electrical Engineering, Habib University, Karachi

Description: The Engineering Accreditation Board (EAB) of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) appointed a visitation team to conduct a two-day accreditation visit to Habib University, Karachi, from 31 August to 1 September 2026, for the re-accreditation of the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering program under the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework.
The visitation team comprised Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rizwan Shad (University of Central Punjab, Lahore) as Convener, Dr. Muhammad Irfan Abid (Riphah International University, Faisalabad) and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Qureshi as Program Evaluators (Electrical Engineering), and Engr. Umer Javed as the PEC Representative.
During the visit, the team met with Mr. Wasif A. Rizvi, President of Habib University; Engr. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahid Shaikh, Vice President (Academics); and Prof. Dr. Shah Jamal Alam, Associate Dean, Undergraduate Education, who presented an overview of the University and its academic support units. A comprehensive presentation on the BS Electrical Engineering program was delivered by Dr. Naveed Razzaq, Director of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Program.
The evaluation included inspections of classrooms, laboratories, seminar halls, conference rooms, the library, the auditorium, sports facilities, and other academic support units. In addition to a comprehensive review of documentation and evidence related to the accreditation criteria, the team conducted meetings and interviews with key stakeholders, including faculty members, students, administrative staff, employers, and alumni, to assess the program's compliance with PEC accreditation standards.
NTC Accreditation Visit — BS Electrical Engineering Technology, NCBA&E Bahawalpur

Description: The National Technolgy Council (NTC) team visited the NCBA&E Bahawalpur to evaluate the BS Electrical Engineering Technology program's compliance with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) standards for accreditation. The team comprised Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, IUB Bahawalpur (Convener), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Qureshi (Expert Electrical Engineering Technology), and Mr. Hafiz Ghulam Muhammad (NTC Representative). The visit included lab inspections, faculty meetings, student interaction sessions, alumni and employer meetup, and a review of course files and CLO/PLO mapping documents.

Description: The National Technolgy Council (NTC) team visited the GCT Kot Addu to evaluate the BS Electrical Engineering Technology program's compliance with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) standards for accreditation. The team comprised Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Qureshi, IUB Bahawalpur (Convener), Prof. Dr. Mehr Gul (Expert Electrical Engineering Technology), and Mr. Hafiz Ghulam Muhammad (NTC Representative). The visit included lab inspections, faculty meetings, student interaction sessions, alumni and employer meetup, and a review of course files and CLO/PLO mapping documents.

Description: The National Technology Council (NTC) appointed a visitation team to conduct a two-day accreditation visit to Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology & Skill Development (BBSUTSD), Khairpur Mirs, from 7th-8th June 2023, for the re-accreditation of the Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology program under the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework.
The visitation team comprised Prof. Dr. Mushahid Hussain Hashmi (NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi) as Convener, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Qureshi (IUB, Bahawalpur) as Program Evaluators (Electronics), and Mr. Hafiz Ghulam Muhammad as the NTC Representative.
Prof. Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar, Vice Chancellor BBSUTSD, Prof. Dr. Hussain Bux Marri, Dean Faculty of Engineering Technology, and Engr. Shazia Feroz, Chairperson, Electronics Engineering Technology department warmly welcomed the visitation team. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hussain Bux Marri, Dean Faculty of Engineering Technology briefed about the HEI and the purpose to serve by providing quality University Education. A comprehensive presentation on the BSc Electronics Engineering Technology program was delivered by Engr. Shazia Feroz, Chairperson, Electronics Engineering Technology department.
